How Sewer Pipe Lining Works
pipe inside your existing sewer line — without digging.

Camera Inspection
We insert an HD camera into your sewer line to map every crack, root intrusion point, offset joint, and area of corrosion. You see the footage on screen. This determines if your pipe is a candidate for lining.

Hydro Jetting & Prep
We clean the pipe interior with 3,000–4,000 PSI hydro jetting to remove roots, grease, scale, and debris. The pipe must be clean for the liner to bond properly. Obstructions are cut away.

Liner Installation
A flexible liner saturated with epoxy resin is pulled or inverted into the pipe. It's inflated to press against the pipe walls, conforming to every bend and joint. The resin cures in place, forming a rigid new pipe inside the old one.

Final Inspection
After curing, we run the camera again to verify the liner is smooth, fully adhered, and free of wrinkles or gaps. You see the before-and-after comparison on screen. Service connections are reopened.

1-Day Completion
Most residential sewer pipe lining projects are completed in a single day. Your sewer is back in service the same evening.
50-Year Lifespan
The cured epoxy liner is rated for 50+ years. It's corrosion-resistant, root-proof, and maintains full flow capacity over its entire lifespan.
Saves $10K–$27K
Traditional sewer replacement in DFW costs $15,000–$30,000+ including excavation and restoration. Pipe lining starts at $3,500.

Sewer Pipe Lining Questions

What is sewer pipe lining?
Sewer pipe lining is a trenchless method used to fix damaged pipes without digging up your yard. A flexible liner coated with epoxy is inserted into the existing pipe and then inflated. Once it hardens, it creates a smooth, durable new pipe inside the old one. This process, also known as CIPP (Cured-in-Place Pipe) lining, helps repair cracks, leaks, and root damage quickly. It is commonly used for PVC, clay, and cast iron pipes and can extend the life of your sewer system for decades.
How much does sewer pipe lining cost?
Sewer pipe lining in Dallas–Fort Worth starts at $3,500 with Nuflow DFW. Final cost depends on pipe length, diameter, condition, number of bends, and access point availability. A typical residential sewer reline (40–80 feet) ranges from $3,500–$8,000. Traditional sewer replacement for the same pipe costs $15,000–$30,000+ including excavation and yard/driveway restoration — meaning pipe lining saves DFW homeowners $10,000–$27,000. Every project is unique — call (469) 701-0597 to discuss your specific situation and get a custom quote.
How long does sewer pipe lining last?
CIPP sewer pipe lining is rated for a 50-year lifespan. The cured epoxy resin is corrosion-resistant, root-proof (no joints for roots to enter), and maintains full flow capacity throughout its life. Independent testing by ASTM standards confirms the structural integrity and longevity of CIPP liners. Many installations from the 1970s and 1980s are still performing today — over 40 years later.
What are the advantages of sewer pipe lining?
The main advantages of sewer pipe lining over traditional replacement are: no excavation (your yard, driveway, and landscaping stay intact), 1-day completion for most projects, 50-year lifespan, root-proof seamless interior (no joints), works on all pipe materials (cast iron, clay, PVC, concrete), and significant cost savings ($3,500 vs $15,000–$30,000+ for excavation and replacement). The smooth interior also improves flow capacity compared to the original rough pipe walls.
Does insurance cover sewer pipe lining?
Most standard homeowner’s insurance policies in Texas do not cover sewer pipe lining or sewer line repair — sewer lines are typically considered the homeowner’s responsibility from the house to the city main. However, some policies include “service line coverage” as an add-on endorsement, and some home warranty plans cover partial sewer repair costs. Check your policy for “service line” or “utility line” coverage. Nuflow DFW can provide detailed invoices and documentation if your insurer requires them for a claim.
Sewer pipe lining vs replacement — which is better?
Sewer pipe lining is the better option for most DFW homes. It costs $3,500+ vs $15,000–$30,000+ for replacement, takes 1 day vs 3–7 days, requires no excavation, and produces a seamless root-proof pipe rated for 50 years. The only situation where traditional replacement is necessary is when the pipe has fully collapsed or lost its round shape — the liner needs a pipe structure to press against. A camera inspection determines which option your pipe needs. Nuflow DFW provides honest assessments — if lining won’t work for your pipe, we’ll tell you.
What types of sewer pipes can be lined?
CIPP sewer pipe lining works on cast iron, clay, PVC, orangeburg (tar paper pipe), concrete, and galvanized steel — all pipe materials found in DFW homes. Cast iron and clay pipes (common in homes built before 1980) are the most frequent candidates because they corrode and crack with age. The liner bonds to any pipe material and creates a uniform new interior regardless of the original pipe type.
