The Most Effective Way to Clean Drain & Sewer Pipes
Hydro jetting is a professional drain and sewer cleaning method that uses a high-pressure water stream (3,000–4,000 PSI for residential, up to 10,000 PSI for commercial) to scour the entire interior of a pipe. A specialized nozzle with forward and rear-facing jets is inserted into the pipe, blasting water in multiple directions to cut through grease, shred tree roots, dissolve mineral scale, and flush debris downstream.
Unlike a drain snake (auger) which only punches a hole through a clog, hydro jetting cleans the full circumference of the pipe removing buildup from the walls and restoring flow capacity to near-original condition.
Nuflow DFW performs a camera inspection before every hydro jetting service to check the pipe’s structural condition and determine the safest pressure setting. After jetting, we run the camera again so you see the before-and-after results on screen.
For pipes with damage revealed during inspection, we recommend trenchless CIPP pipe relining instead of or after jetting to seal cracks and prevent future root intrusion.

- Results last 1–3 years
- Shreds tree roots with cutting nozzles
- Camera inspection included before & after
- Prepares pipe for relining if needed
- Requires camera check on old pipes first
Drain Snaking (Auger)
$150–$300
- Quick fix for simple, single clogs

- Only pokes a hole through the clog
- Leaves buildup on pipe walls
- Clogs return within weeks–months

How Hydro Jetting Works — 4 Steps

Camera Inspection
HD camera checks pipe condition, identifies blockage type, and confirms it's safe to jet. Protects old or damaged pipes.

High-Pressure Jetting
Specialized nozzle blasts water at 3,000–4,000 PSI in all directions. Cuts through grease, roots, scale, and debris. Everything flushes downstream.

Post-Jetting Verification
Camera runs again to confirm the pipe is fully clear. You see side-by-side before-and-after on screen. Any hidden damage is documented.

Maintenance Plan
Based on findings, we recommend a jetting schedule. If damage is found, we provide CIPP relining options.
Common Situations That Call for Hydro Jetting
If your drains keep clogging every few weeks despite snaking, call for hydro jetting the buildup on your pipe walls is the real problem. If multiple drains in your house are slow at the same time, get your main sewer line jetted from the cleanout.
If you’ve been told you have tree roots in your sewer line, schedule jetting with root-cutting nozzles and ask about CIPP relining to seal the entry points permanently. If you own a restaurant or commercial kitchen, set up quarterly jetting before grease causes a backup during service.
If you’re planning pipe relining, book jetting first it’s a required prep step. And if your home has cast iron or clay pipes and you haven’t had them cleaned in years, schedule annual jetting before a small buildup becomes an emergency.
